Hi Paul, enjoyed the article and tempted by the Nitto quill stem. Can you give some pointers as to how to go about changing the standard TSR arrangement as I'm largely ignorant about headsets and 1" stems etc.

Many thanks,

Hi Richard,

Thanks for the heads up re unsuspended weight of the rohloff. I'll be somewhat balancing it with a son hub up front. I've got a Rohloff on my current bike (Thorn Raven) and really like it. Agreed it's heavy, but for me the benefits outweigh (pun intended!) this downside.

btw I'd love to see pictures of your dual pylon with rohloff if you've got any. At some point Rohloff are supposed to be bringing out a lighter version of the Speedhub and if they do I think it would be perfect for any of the upmarket moultons, and the Dual Pylon in particular

I've just bought a tsr27 and already i'm thinking about upgrades.

I liked the look of the tsr30 but wanted the off road capability of the tsr27.(buying a boat to live on when I retire next year)

They say its silver but I think its grey. But its so difficult to get a moulton that I just took the first colour to come along. Still looks good.

All the best

Agreed, it looks a great spec, though I don't really agree about the Pashley maroon - really Rich Burgundy - as it's such a lovely colour.

A note to Dave: I had a Rohloff fitted to my Dual Pylon but wasn't happy with it: too much unsuspended weight at the back, and it just didn't feel quite right. So I wouldn't go that way again.

One more point: the m-gineering site is a great source of hard-to-find stuff, not only the Nitto bottle cage (sadly out of stock just now) but SKS mudguards in black and, praise be, in silver: I've been trying to find a pair of silver mudguards for the DP for ages (it doesn't look quite right with black ones) and these look like the ones. Thank you, Patrick!

Wow, great set up. I'm hoping to get a TSR over the summer set up with a Rohloff hub. I love your idea for a quill stem. Nitto make beautiful stuff. I hope my budget can stretch to make my dream TSR a reality. Thanks for detailing your dream TSR. Has given me some good ideas

Hi Chris
I can't find the exact spec on the Kalloy web site, but judging by similar items I think you might be correct.
Apologies for the mistake. My dream TSR will still get the shiny one!
Regards

Pretty sure the 'black anodised' seat post on the TSR 30 is in fact carbon fibre.
