Ian Kew replied to the forum topic Mini front suspension conversion in the group
Open Discussion Group 1 week, 6 days agoI agree with Ken, a Mini without front suspension is a pretty pointless bike. Low value and not of any great interest.
Make it into a ’special’ that you want has to be a good way of doing something useful with it!

Open Discussion Group 1 week, 6 days agoFor the Sturmey problem, can you take the guts out of the working hub and put it in the hub of the wheel with the alloy rim and get it to operate?
(The Sahara is fabulous!)

Ian Kew replied to the forum topic 'converting' TSR2 -> TSR30 in the group
Open Discussion Group 3 weeks, 5 days agoIs your TSR2 the belt drive version? I think the rear ‘triangle’ would need replacing as I think the 2 does not have brackets for the front derailleur and may not even have the one for the rear (that others […]

Open Discussion Group 2 months, 1 week agoSomeone got a bit of a result from ebay today, a very clean 2003 APB24 sold for £685.
Much less than usual for ebay, I have seen rather dodgy looking and pretty old APB12’s go for that sort of money!

Open Discussion Group 2 months, 2 weeks agoI did see that Esprit (after it had sold) but I have a niggling feeling that I had seen that picture before.
And Sunderland is too far from me to send £800 (plus a rather vague cost of ‘Courier’ for postage) […]

Dunno if they will do what you want though.

I think that if people are so stupid as to actually click BiN for that they deserve to loose their money.

Ian Kew replied to the forum topic APB or TSR for 60 year old? in the group
Open Discussion Group 2 months, 3 weeks agoI’m not sure what a new TSR could do ‘better’ than my particular APB as it was largely unused when I bought it (who buys a £1000+ bicycle and not use it?) and I have not tried a 27. But I think I probably got […]

Open Discussion Group 2 months, 3 weeks agoThe trouble with setting your heart on a ‘Land Rover’ (or whatever) is that they may not be available!

Open Discussion Group 4 months agoThe best way to find out would be to put it out to auction and see.
Suffice it to say it would sell for more than £537, as I’d be prepared to do without eating for a month and bid more than that.

Open Discussion Group 4 months, 1 week agoIf it is a 531 frame I think it will be post 2000. Since they started the TSR range in the mid 2000′s you have to be in that 5ish year gap. I’d guess, from what you describe, that you have an FX8. (It will be […]
