The new Moulton SPEED is the first production Moulton bicycle to weigh in at less than 20lb (9.1kg)- quite some feat for a full-suspension road bike.
As befits a special bicycle, the Moulton SPEED is equipped with Campagnolo Super Record components, and is fitted with Moulton's own seat pillar and handlebar stem in Reynolds 953. The distinctive spaceframe design is constructed entirely from stainless steel. Every joint is silver-brazed, and the entire frameset is laboriously polished to mirror finish. With no paint to scratch, the Moulton SPEED can be returned to 'as new' condition with the application of metal polish.
The time-honoured combination of the low aerodynamic drag, the rapid acceleration afforded by the small wheels, the low rolling resistance and the superlative comfort of the well-proven Moulton suspension, make the Moulton SPEED a perfect choice for the performance-orientated Sportive rider as well as those who just want to go out for a blast round the lanes.
The Moulton SPEED will be available from mid-2010.

Sorry, can't help. To me, it looks very strange with the huge wheels. I think fitting 406-wheels to an AM is only possible for a SPEED, since no rear carrier will be fitted. I doubt the strut shoring up the large carrier will fit over the wheel. And what else, except for wider range of tyres and broader availability would be the reason for replacing the 369-wheels? While touring, it makes sense to go to standard 406. But a SPEED will nerver tour. So I don't understand the goal of this design.
Why not stay with 369 and leave the proportions of this wonderful bike untouched?

This is not an AM! The only thing it has in common with an AM is the front fork design. The rest of it is the New Series frame design.
I expect that a touring version will be offered in future, with racks, separable frame, steel tubing.
406mm wheels are not that much bigger that 369mm. There is no reason why a large rear rack will not fit, just like a new series.
One of the reasons for this front suspension over the flexitor design, is the more precise handling offered by the leading links. Not to mention simpler manufacture.
This may be the future!

It's magnificent. Simple, functional, minimal, beautiful, practical. A bicycle like this will last forever. Tyres are very important, the critical interface, and Continental Grand Prix tyres are the very best. They make Stelvios seem syrupy, soft and slow. And the rims are better. I think it's the perfection of the racing spaceframe.
