I have had issues with two 349 kojack’s…

on the first, the sidewall blew out in 20 meters…

the 3M reflective tape had been ‘overheated’ and created a ‘tear along dotted line’…

I dropped it at a LBS [not where I bought it] and the next time the rep came in he approved a free replacement for both tube and tyre…

It lasted much longer, but the bike developed a very odd ‘weave’…

I finally traced the issue to a 5 x 60 mm long ‘thin’ strip just off the thicker tread…

when inflated the ‘bulge’ ran the rear wheel off line…

I was told that the folding version had been withdrawn from sale and all the smaller sizes were under review so I have abandoned them for now as a rear tyre…

I really liked the ‘ride’, but they are just too fragile imho…

John – Thanks for your response. Your experiences mirror mine exactly and tyre faults are the same. Kojaks are the only new 17″ (369) tyre currently available.
I have been fortunate to acquire a pair of NOS original Wolber/Moulton 17 x 11/4 tyres which I have now fitted

I have spoken with Will Brown at Schwalbe. There are no plans to discontinue Kojak tyres in the smaller sizes. In fact Will reports sales are increasing especially with the 349 size
