Chichester Moulton Ride on 22nd October 2017

The ride started in the sunshine at Chichester Railway Station, where it was nice to welcome two new members.

There were 10 of us at the start on a variety of Moultons ranging from early F Frames to Space frame Moultons.

Our route followed mainly cycle paths and quiet back roads to Chichester Marina for a coffee stop, where we were joined by two more riders. Another quiet route to West Wittering for a very nice lunch at The Boulevard Cafe to be joined by yet another Moultoneer making 13 riders in all.

After lunch, again along quiet roads, it was back to Chichester via Bracklesham, Almodington and Hunston where we joined the towpath along the Chichester Canal to the cafe at the Canal Basin where the ride ended.

A special thanks to all riders especially those who travelled from as far afield as Winchester and London. Thanks to all for a great days cycling, we covered about 20 miles in total.

Two upcoming Moulton Rides, 29th Oct 2017

There are two MBC weekend rides this weekend.

1) North West Ride

Meeting at Chester Used Furniture Enterprise, Western Avenue, Blacon, Chester, CH1 5QY (car park)
On Sunday 29th October, from 10:00 to depart at 10:30
Route: Blacon to Deeside, the Wirral & Parkgate then back - (flat terrain)

2) Cambridge Ride

About 35 miles long from 10am to 4pm . Likely to include both a coffee and a lunch stop.
Rendezvous may vary. (Used to be Haywards at the Scotsdales Garden Centre CB25 9JG, but as Haywards is not in business anymore check with Ian Wright. email: irw20mail@yahoo.co.uk ).
